The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) in Bangkok will temporarily close all areas to the public from October 11-18 as it prepares to host the 2026 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group.
QSNCC said the temporary closure is necessary to complete preparations for the major international gathering, including arrangements for the venue, security systems and facilities for delegations and participants from around the world.
Visitors and members of the public will not be permitted to enter any part of the convention centre during the closure. Normal operations are scheduled to resume on October 19.
QSNCC thanked the public for its understanding and asked people to avoid travelling to the venue during the closure period to help facilitate preparations for the meetings.
Thailand is hosting the global gathering again after 35 years.
