The Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh has advised Thai nationals to temporarily avoid travelling through King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia following a series of attacks between October 8 and 10.
In a security advisory issued on Saturday (October 10), the embassy warned that the situation remained sensitive and posed potential safety risks. It recommended avoiding the airport until conditions improve.
Travellers who need to use the airport have been urged to check their flight status and departure times directly with their airlines before setting off.
The embassy warned that changes to flight schedules could leave passengers stranded or cause other travel disruptions.
Thai nationals residing in Saudi Arabia have also been advised to monitor developments closely and exercise caution when travelling.
They have been urged to avoid high-risk areas and locations affected by the attacks unless absolutely necessary, while strictly following safety instructions issued by Saudi Arabian authorities.
The embassy also provided emergency contact details for Thai nationals requiring assistance, with telephone and WhatsApp services available 24 hours a day.
