The Thai Meteorological Department forecasts thundershowers in Thailand on Sunday (November 1, 2026), particularly in the Central region, including Bangkok and surrounding areas, the East and the South, in its outlook through November 6.
A high-pressure system, or cool air mass, from China over upper Thailand and the South China Sea has weakened but continues to bring easterly winds across Thailand and the Gulf of Thailand.
Unsettled weather is forecast for November 2–6, with thundershowers, gusty winds and isolated heavy rain as a high-pressure system from China extends over the North, Northeast and South China Sea.
An easterly wave will also move across the lower Northeast, the East, the Central region, including Bangkok and surrounding areas, the Gulf of Thailand and the South during November 3–5.
People should beware of thundershowers and gusty winds during this period and avoid open areas or places beneath large trees or unstable billboards.
Heavy rain and continued rainfall accumulation could cause flash floods, rapid run-off from forested areas and mudslides, particularly on foothill slopes close to waterways and in low-lying areas.
Waves in the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman Sea will exceed 2 metres in areas with thundershowers throughout the forecast period.
Mariners should check their routes and proceed with caution, while all vessels, including small boats, should avoid areas with thundershowers.
