Thailand women sweep the Philippines in SEA V Cup second-leg opener

Thailand opened the Chiang Mai leg with a 3-0 victory over the Philippines and are due to face Indonesia in their second match on Saturday at 4.30pm.

Thailand’s women’s national volleyball team, the “Thai spikers”, faced the Philippines women’s national volleyball team, the “Tagalog spikers”, in the opening match of the second leg of the BYD DMI 6th SEA V Cup 2026.

The Thai side was coached by Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai, also known as “Coach Aod”.

The match took place at the 700th Anniversary of Chiang Mai Stadium in Chiang Mai, Thailand, on Sunday (August 2).

Thailand won 3-0, with the set scores listed as 25-19, 25-17 and 25-29.

Thailand will next face Indonesia’s women’s national volleyball team, the “Indonesian spikers”, in their second match of the second leg of the SEA V Cup 2026 on Saturday (August 8), again at 4.30pm.
