Thailand won three gold medals and one silver at the Asian Games 2026 in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on September 29, climbing to fifth in the medal standings. Thailand’s four-medal haul brought its overall tally to 33, comprising 12 golds, nine silvers and 12 bronzes.
Badminton, sepak takraw and esports deliver Thai golds
Kunlavut Vitidsarn claimed gold in the men’s singles badminton, while Thailand also secured gold medals in men’s sepak takraw and the PUBG MOBILE esports competition.
Thailand’s mixed 4x100-metre relay team added a silver medal to complete the country’s four-medal haul for September 29.
China remained comfortably ahead at the top of the standings with 143 gold medals, 62 silvers and 49 bronzes, taking its total to 254.
Host Japan stood second with 45 golds and 183 medals overall, followed by South Korea with 24 golds and 95 medals.
Uzbekistan occupied fourth place with 14 golds and 44 medals, ahead of Thailand.
