TV series not exactly a "Naresuan" spin-off

TV series not exactly a "Naresuan" spin-off

After working together for a decade on "The Legend of King Naresuan", the epic movie that became a truly epic movie franchise, actors Major Wanchana Sawasdee, Nopachai Peter Jayamana and Napassakorn Mit-aim and his actress-wife Piyathida have formed a new

It’s all set to bring an action drama series to TV, “Teeyai Dab Dao Jone”, specifically to the new digital channel Mono 29.
This is Peter’s directorial debut, and he also co-wrote the script with Ping Lumpraplerng and Jirasuda Sangkham.
“Teeyai” is about two guys whose lives take an abrupt turn for the very bad.
Siren (played by Ratchanon Ruanpetch) had a bright future with the police force but suddenly ends up in jail himself, and, as if that weren’t lousy enough, his parents get killed. Somchai Khemklad plays the title role of Teeyai, a man stewing in anguish and seeking revenge and redemption. When Siren and Teeyai unexpectedly meet, sparks will fly.
That’ll be Bt20 for the promotional blurb. Thank you.

Dream marriage is over
TV actress-hostess Daraneenuch “Top” Pothipitit has changed her surname to Pasutanavin (at least for now) because – as she’s just revealed to the press with eye-popping candour – she’s split with Kris Pothipitit after 18 years of matrimony.
The news came as quite a shock even for desensitised reporters because her happy marriage was always up on a bright, shiny pedestal, an example for others to emulate. Top and Kris were college sweethearts and stayed married for 18 years.
Top is the more famous of the two, having hosted a TV show with her best friend Piya Sawetpikul and then acting in soaps and in movies. Adding to her popularity is a great sense of humour and an unfailingly polite way with the people she interviews on TV. Her turns at acting have brought a nomination as Best Supporting Actress in the 2010 film “Chua Fah Din Salai (“Eternity”).
With Top’s career forever busy, it fell to Kris to stay home and take care of their two sons.
Nothing melodramatic happened to spoil the union, the soap star said on the TV show “Namphueng Phrachan”. There was no “third wheel” steering their marriage off course. It was just a matter of their love fading after two decades. They didn’t feel that they truly cared for one another anymore. Several efforts were made to get the relationship back on track, but in the end they both agreed to a divorce.
Asked about splitting up their stuff, which should be 50/50 by law, Top complimented Kris for being generous about it – he’s taken only what belongs solely to him. The kids are staying with her.
Pressed to explain how she lost faith in love, Top said it’s hard to explain, since the causes are so “abstract”.
“Like anyone else, I didn’t want to get married and then end up divorced, but it’s a situation that can occur in any family. It happens because you’re not cautious and you begin to ignore one another. I probably wasn’t a good wife,” she said. “I kept busy with work and never looked back to see how he was feeling. I was flawed.
“I hope that my story will teach others that you have to see your family life thoroughly and do your best to make sure it survives.”
