Thailand is for Thais; don’t let it become like the US

TUESDAY, MAY 24, 2016

One only need study the present circus posing as an election in the US to understand what happens when a country opens its doors to both legal and illegal immigration from anywhere.

Once a country becomes a melting pot, it becomes like a stew with no control on the amount of the ingredients. Donald Trump obviously recognised that and entered the election, only he was too late. To further exacerbate his situation, Paul Rand will force him into softening the very policies that brought him so far.
The election of Barack Obama signalled the change in the voting dynamics of America. Women, minorities and homosexuals are now the majority and will remain so. Consequently Hillary Clinton will become the next president. And, the penchant for ignoring the national debt and deficit spending will continue, as will the liberal laws and policies protecting women, minorities and homosexuals.
What Bernie Sanders is doing in this race is a mystery to me. His entire ultra-liberal philosophy is outdated. It was pertinent back in the 1960s, but it seems that he was caught in a time warp and deposited into this race. But have no fear, he has gathered enough strength to make a “deal” at the convention and Hillary will compromise and include his demands.
I want to congratulate Thailand on its immigration policies. If one wishes to come here, he must have a guaranteed income and be of sound mind and body. Even the immigration from neighbouring countries has some controls on it. So things are as they should be.
As expats spend a great deal of money here, they should be allowed a voice through these pages; however, they should never have a vote and should refrain from joining in political organisations or rallies. Thailand is for Thais. It always has been and should remain that way. If we don’t like what we see, we are free to leave, but it is neither our right or privilege to actively try to change it. If Thailand allows us to do that, then it will open its doors to what we are seeing in America now. And like America, it will soon begin spending vast sums of money to appease foreign interests and passing legislation to pacify it. And ultimately, like what is going to happen in America in the next 10 years, Thailand will bankrupt itself. The only difference is that when America finally defaults, the ramifications will be worldwide.
I assure you, the US will not stop Muslim migration, as it should, and there will be no wall between the US and Mexico, as there should be. Learn from this Thailand. When the first farang begins to call Thais racist, because they won’t do something that the farang wants, that is the warning sign. Watch for it.
