Malaysia pen drives for Asian market

Malaysian technopreneur and pen drive inventor Pua Khein-Seng has invested US$2 million (Bt63.2 million) in a local contract manufacturing company to produce pen drives for the Asian market.

The 38-year-old, who is chairman and chief executive officer of Taiwan-listed Phison Electronics Corp, has formed a smart partnership with Hotayi Electronic, which he is also a shareholder of.
“We will conduct a test run to manufacture the pen drives in this facility next month before starting production by July. Although Phison pen drives are available worldwide, these would be the first to be technically ‘Made in Malaysia’,” he said.
