As golf courses increasingly evolve beyond places simply designed for playing the sport, community and shared experiences are becoming an important part of how people engage with golf destinations.
Against this backdrop, Pinehurst Golf Club has launched “PINEHURST MEET & GOLF 2026”, a new community-driven golf experience held under the concept “Play Together • Enjoy Together • Beyond Golf.” The initiative uses golf as a platform to bring people together, foster new connections and create shared experiences, reflecting Pinehurst’s direction towards becoming a Golf & Lifestyle Community where people can spend time, socialise and enjoy a broader range of activities.
For Pinehurst, “Beyond Golf — A Place of Happiness, A Place for Everyone” is intended to become a defining part of the destination’s identity. The experience goes beyond the golf course and the competition itself — encompassing opportunities to meet new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, spend quality time with family, relax and enjoy the destination in different ways.
The first-ever PINEHURST MEET & GOLF 2026 marks the beginning of a new community initiative designed to bring people together through golf and shared experiences.
Rather than positioning competition as the sole focus, the event places equal emphasis on Community & Experience, welcoming golfers of different levels — from beginners to experienced players — to enjoy a round of golf, meet friends, make new connections and spend time with family and social groups in a relaxed Pinehurst environment.
The initiative also reflects Pinehurst’s intention to create and share meaningful experiences with its customers — from regular users of the facilities to those who are new to the Pinehurst community — by providing an informal setting where people can meet, socialise and enjoy sport together.
The programme consists of four rounds from September to December 2026. The first round took place on 13 September, with three more rounds scheduled for 4 October, 8 November and 13 December 2026.
The event is open to both male and female participants aged 20–55, with approximately 40 participants per round. Participants can also register as teams of five.
If the inaugural programme receives continued positive response, Pinehurst plans to develop PINEHURST MEET & GOLF as an annual community event, creating a regular occasion for people to return, reconnect and become part of the Pinehurst community.
Kornpassorn Juengroongruangkit, Vice Chair and Advisor of Pinehurst Group, said:
“At Pinehurst, we see golf as more than a sport or a competition. It is also an opportunity for people to connect, meet one another and spend quality time together. We want to create a place where everyone feels part of the Pinehurst Community — whether they are beginners, experienced golfers, families or groups of friends. We believe that meaningful relationships and positive experiences are what encourage people to come back and spend time together here.”
She added that PINEHURST MEET & GOLF 2026 represents the beginning of a community programme that Pinehurst intends to develop continuously.
“We are not looking only at competition or the number of participants. What matters to us is that everyone who comes to Pinehurst feels a sense of belonging. We want Pinehurst to be more than a golf course — a place where people can come and feel happy, meet familiar faces, make new friends or bring their families together.
“That is the meaning of Beyond Golf — A Place of Happiness, A Place for Everyone. It is an idea we want to bring to life through the real experiences of the people who come and spend time here.”
The initiative forms part of Pinehurst’s broader direction to expand its role beyond that of a conventional golf course by bringing together Golf + Lifestyle + Community + Experience to create new reasons for people to visit and spend time at the destination.
In this context, PINEHURST MEET & GOLF 2026 goes beyond a traditional golf tournament. It represents a form of community marketing, using sport as a starting point for building longer-term relationships with consumers.
Rather than engaging with customers only when they come to play golf, Pinehurst is creating opportunities for people to return through a wider range of activities and experiences, helping them become more familiar with the destination, its people and its atmosphere.
The approach also reflects the growing importance of experience among today's consumers, particularly working professionals, executives, business communities and families who are looking for places where they can spend their leisure time, meet people, participate in activities and build relationships in a more relaxed environment.
Golf, therefore, can serve not only as a competitive sport but also as a social connector, bringing together people from different backgrounds and interests. At the same time, a golf course can evolve into a broader lifestyle space where people can engage in different forms of leisure and social activity.
Participants in PINEHURST MEET & GOLF 2026 can expect more than a round of golf. Each event combines competition, prizes and activities with opportunities for participants to socialise after the game — an important element in building a sense of community.
The competition welcomes golfers of different skill levels, with awards including Overall Low Net, second and third places, Nearest to the Pin, Men's and Women's Longest Drive, Lucky Draw and other special prizes.
Participant benefits also extend beyond the competition itself, covering golf-related services, food and post-game activities designed to encourage participants to stay, socialise and enjoy time together.
For Pinehurst, however, the most important outcome goes beyond prizes or competition. It is about creating connections — between people and the destination, and between people themselves — as the foundation for a community that can continue to grow.
The development of PINEHURST MEET & GOLF 2026 reflects Pinehurst's broader direction towards becoming a Golf & Lifestyle Destination near Bangkok, bringing together its strengths in green space, sport, food, leisure and activities to create a more complete destination experience.
Building a community also gives Pinehurst an opportunity to understand its users beyond their time on the golf course. Rather than relationships being limited to individual golf rounds, recurring activities and shared experiences can create more opportunities for people to develop a stronger connection with the destination.
Because when a round of golf comes to an end, what remains is not only the score or the result, but the people met, the experiences shared and the desire to return and spend time together again.
This is why “PINEHURST MEET & GOLF 2026” is positioned as more than a golf tournament. It represents the beginning of a community that Pinehurst aims to develop over the long term, while bringing its “Beyond Golf — A Place of Happiness, A Place for Everyone” philosophy to life through the experiences of its visitors.
From its inaugural programme in 2026, Pinehurst aims to develop the initiative into a recurring annual event where people can return to play sport, meet friends, relax, build new relationships and spend quality time together.
The initiative forms part of Pinehurst's ongoing development towards a Golf & Lifestyle destination near Bangkok, designed to serve golfers, families and people seeking a place to spend time, connect and enjoy a lifestyle beyond the golf course.
