Confidence goes upcountry with 6 projects

Three provinces in focus at a total cost of Bt5 bn

The Confidence Co, a subsidiary of Quality Houses, plans to expand its business in the provinces, focusing on Chon Buri, Prachuap Khiri Khan and Udon Thani, with the launch of six new projects this year and next worth more than Bt5 billion.
The Confidence managing director Pirot Wattanawarodom, who was appointed in the middle of last year, said the company planned to launch the first three new projects, worth Bt2.6 billion, this year.
They comprise low-rise residential projects – both detached houses and duplexes – under the brand The Trust Ville at Kanchanaphisek-Hathairaj worth Bt1.4 billion; a townhouse project called The Trust City worth Bt500 million; and the firm’s first condominium project in Pattaya, The Trust Residence at Pattaya, worth Bt700 million.
The next three projects will be in Cha-am district of Phetchaburi province and Pran Buri district of Prachuap Khiri Khan. The company plans to develop condominium projects at prices from Bt1 million to more than Bt2 million per unit. They will launch in the last month of this year and through next year, Pirot said.
“We have also surveyed Udon Thani province, where demand is strong among locals who have business links in Vientiane, Laos. This may be a new location to develop residential projects in the future,” he said.
Pirot  said The Confidence’s business strategy this year would focus on its Trust brand, which will be used for all of the firm’s projects for 2012.
“We aim to be one of the five brands that come to customers’ minds when they are shopping for homes,” he said.
He added that the company targeted sales of Bt4.2 billion this year, up 55 per cent from Bt2.7 billion last year, which fell short of the targeted Bt3 billion because of the floods.
“We believe our presales will achieve the target, as now we have projects already sold and ready for delivery to our customers worth Bt3.2 billion; they will be transferred this year, and the additional Bt1 billion will come from new projects launched this year.”
He said the company managed its construction process by using a prefabrication  system for both low-rise and high-rise residential projects. This speeds up construction and helps the company deliver its residential projects to customers on time, he said.
