Seacon Development, owner and operator of Seacon Square, a big shopping mall in Bangkok's Prawet district, is investing Bt1 billion for expansion, elevating convenience and increasing retail space to cater to all lifestyles.

The six major projects are The Canopy restaurants; S-mood, an outdoor hang-out establishment on Srinakarin Road; Seacon Campus, a major education centre; a new parking facility with capacity for 1,400 cars; revamp of the existing indoor parking spaces; and an upgrade of YoYo Land, an indoor fun park for children.

More than 30 more retailers are expected to join the expanded shopping centre, which will now focus on the upper-income market.

Tatiya Sosothikul, managing director and executive of Seacon Square, said the expansion would begin offering services in the second quarter of 2016.

He said the developments would enhance the shopping centre’s capacity to accommodate more customers and offer them utmost satisfaction. New shops in the 12,000 square metres of additional area will attract new groups of customers, particularly the upper-income segment.

The company expects to enjoy increasing revenues from the expansion.
