A Border Patrol Police officer has died after security forces came under fire during an operation against suspected insurgents in Pattani’s Nong Chik district.

Bangkok Police and Army have joined force in a pre-dawn operation to search 30 locations - mostly apartments and communities within the Metropolitan Police Area 4 jurisdiction to suppress drugs and other crimes on Thursday.
