The ninth Lancang-Mekong Cooperation (LMC) Foreign Ministers' Meeting was held Friday in Thailand's northern city of Chiang Mai, with participants agreeing to further strengthen connectivity and cooperation in various fields.

China hopes the Lancang-Mekong region will set the standard for high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, lead the Global Development Initiative, pioneer the Global Security Initiative, and advance the Global Civilization Initiative, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.
