Ethiopia has declared an outbreak of Marburg virus disease, prompting the World Health Organisation to deploy support teams.

Public health centres all around the nation have been warned to keep an eye on the potential spread of the Marburg virus, which belongs to the same family as Ebola, said Dr Opas Karnkawinpong, director-general of the Department of Disease Control.
