All about crocs
Ancient Egyptians worshipped Sobek, the crocodile god. Now a new museum dedicated to crocodiles opens in front of the Temple of Kom Ombo in Aswan, a tourist area in southern Egypt. The collection contains statues of Sobek, 40 mummified crocodiles which range in size from 1.5 to 5 metres in length as well as crocodile foetuses and eggs. The sharp-toothed-creatures are shown in natural settings and in realistic reproductions of the graves where they were usually buried with a large quantity of gold.
