If you’re heading to Singapore, keep an eye out for some familiar faces, because “Hello Kitty & Friends Visit Changi Airport” through June 26.

The Terminal 3 Departure Hall has become a Nordic wonderland complete with a Viking ship-art gallery, Northern Lights and, yes, somehow, snow.
Old Stockholm is there, too, and you can get your picture taken with a cheery wooden Dala Horse.
You can play with a Lego set, dance to your own Abba remix, and, if you’re particularly lucky, win a trip to Scandinavia.
“Changi Airport is constantly looking to delight and surprise with fresh and exciting experiences,” says Changi Airport Group vice president James Fong.
“We’re thrilled to be the first in Singapore to host the seven much-loved Sanrio characters – the largest group ever in Singapore. Coupled with immersive Nordic experiences, we hope to deliver yet another memorable Changi experience to all our passengers and shoppers this summer holiday season.”
The mid-year holidays common in Europe are a great time to travel in Denmark, Iceland, Finland, Norway and Sweden, Fong notes.
There’s a Snow Fun House at Check-in Row 11 where the young and young-at-heart can frolic in real snow, build a snowman, check out an igloo and ride a sled down a slope.
On sale in the Nordic Gift Store next door are all sorts of Nordic animal plush toys and Sanrio character merchandise.
Every weekend until June 26 from 2 to 7pm you can actually meet and greet the Sanrio characters. Until June 20 you can vote for your favourite and maybe win a trip to the Sanrio Puroland theme park in Japan.
