1,000-drone flower show to light up Chao Phraya skyline

Bangkok’s Chao Phraya riverside will be lit up by more than 1,000 drones on September 26-27 as the Bangkok Flower Festival 2026 stages the final performances of “Bloom Across the Sky” at Yodpiman River Walk in Pak Khlong Talat.

The drone show is one of the highlights of the closing weekend of the flower festival, transforming one of Bangkok’s best-known flower districts into a night-time display combining light, colour and technology.

Across the final two nights, more than 1,000 drones will move in formation above the Chao Phraya River, creating a series of images inspired by flowers, the defining symbol of Pak Khlong Talat.

The concept reimagines flowers beyond the market stalls and bouquets on the ground, presenting them as illuminated forms gradually “blooming” across the night sky, with the river and Bangkok skyline providing the backdrop.

Final drone shows on September 26-27

“Bloom Across the Sky” is scheduled to begin at around 8.30pm on both nights, although the timing may change depending on weather conditions.

Each performance will last approximately 15 minutes, with September 26 and 27 marking the final two shows.

Visitors can spend the evening exploring flower installations, art, food and other activities throughout the festival before heading to the riverside to watch the aerial display.

Bangkok Flower Festival 2026 runs from September 18-27 at Yodpiman River Walk and Pak Khlong Talat.

Admission is THB150, with visitors receiving flowers and a paper bouquet cone from designated areas within the event.

The festival offers a final opportunity this weekend to experience Pak Khlong Talat through flowers both on the ground and in the sky above the Chao Phraya.
