The last eight bodies of Thai workers killed in the brutal Hamas attack returned from Israel on Thursday.

The bodies were flown on an El Al flight that left Israel at 3.30pm local time and landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport at 12.15pm.

Thailand’s Ambassador to Israel Pannabha Chandararomya, and Sakdinat Sonthisakyothin, an inspector-general of the Social Security Office, held a rite to honour and mourn the deaths at the Ben Gurion International Airport in Tel Aviv before the bodies were taken into the aircraft.

The Israeli government also sent representatives to join the rite in Tel Aviv, including a deputy permanent secretary from Israel’s Foreign Affairs Ministry, and representatives from the Interior and Agriculture ministries of Israel. Final 8 bodies of 34 Thais slain in Israel return home

The representatives of the Israeli government expressed condolences over the deaths of the eight Thai workers. They said the Thai workers had travelled afar to work hard in Israeli plantations when they were killed by Hamas militants.

The Thai ambassador thanked all the Israeli officials for coming to see off the last group of bodies and to pay their respects to the slain Thais.

A total of 34 Thai workers were killed when Hamas militants crossed from the Gaza Strip to attack Israeli border town last month. Final 8 bodies of 34 Thais slain in Israel return home
