Vikrom named one of Forbes Asia 15 leading philanthropists

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2023

Forbes Asia has honoured 15 leading philanthropists who have shown commitment and donated generously to causes close to their hearts, with Thailand’s Vikrom Kromadit, founder and chairman of Amata Corp, among those listed.

The unranked list highlights business leaders who are donating from their own fortunes and giving personal time and attention to their selected causes. The list does not include corporate philanthropy except for privately held companies where the individual is a majority owner.

Previous honourees are considered if they have made recent significant contributions that justify a relisting.

The 17th edition of Forbes Asia’s annual Heroes of Philanthropy list includes lifelong philanthropists and newcomers such as Li Ka-shing, senior advisor to CK Asset Holdings and CK Hutchison Holdings; Takemitsu Takizaki, founder and honorary chairman of Keyence; Nandan Nilekani, co-founder and chairman of Infosys, Andrew Forrest, founder and executive chairman of Fortescue Metals Group and Nicola Forrest, co-founder and co-chair of Minderoo Foundation.
