Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin along with his wife visited the Hua Hin market in Prachuap Khiri Khan province on Sunday morning and confirmed that people would receive 10,000 baht under the digital wallet scheme in the fourth quarter of this year.

During his visit to the morning market, he asked merchants how their businesses were doing during the Songkran holidays.

Most of them said things were improving this year. The owner of a grilled pork sticky rice shop praised Srettha, saying that since he had become the prime minister his business had been booming.

Srettha said that this Songkran was better than in previous years. Tourists were coming in increasing numbers, and next year more activities would take place to stimulate the economy and improve tourism even further.

As the PM was walking through the market, citizens asked him about progress in implementing the 10,000 baht digital wallet scheme. Srettha told them that it would definitely be implemented in the fourth quarter.
