Banpu is betting on natural gas and CCUS to meet Thailand’s growing energy demand, particularly from AI and data centres.
Banpu's CEO, Sinon Vongkusolkit, said that its “Closed-Loop Gas” platform combines gas production, power generation and carbon capture, with the Barnett Zero project targeting CO₂ injection of 1.5 million tonnes annually by 2028.
