Baan Sabaijai turns local bananas into community value

Baan Sabaijai Community Enterprise in Samut Songkhram began with a simple goal: to turn overlooked local bananas into safe, value-added food products while giving farmers a fairer return.
With guidance from the Thai FDA and the Samut Songkhram FDA office, the group improved its production standards, packaging, hygiene and product development, eventually winning the 2026 Thai FDA Quality Award: Best of the Best.
Today, its Thai FDA-certified banana products have helped build consumer trust, increase sales, support year-round banana purchases from farmers and create more stable income for the local community.
