Shoppers at Big C Supercentre may be displeased to find out that, upon their visit on August 30, they had to pay Bt10 higher for a pack of two 160-ml Systema Toothpaste compared to the price quoted by Tesco Lotus.

 Big C also sold the pack of six 225-ml Foremost UHT Mainstream Milk at Bt59.5, compared to Bt58.75 at Tesco Lotus.

 For this week, Tesco Lotus sold a pack of 27-sachet Nescafe 3 in 1 at Bt97, Bt1 higher than Big C's quotation.

 Pricing is the key strategy of the giant hypermart operators, which are vying to win more traffic to their chains. For the sake of consumers, the comparison will appear in XP Section every Friday.
