Higher budget eyed for ICT Ministry Deputy Prime Minister Kowit Wattana yesterday said the government would support a higher budget for the Information and Communications Technology Ministry in its bid to enhance the country's competitiveness.
Kowit visited the ministry yesterday to learn its four-year policy. The ministry is working out the budget plan.
The previous government had approved a budget of Bt5 billion for the ministry but it says it needs more to support the present government's policy of ICT network expansion and free |public Wi-Fi service.
Kowit said he would recommend the other ministries to leverage ICT to improve their operation.
Daidomon disposal
Daidomon Group's board of directors approved the disposals of the business and Daidomon trademark to Hot Pot Plc for Bt45 million because Daidomon will shift new investment into real estate.
