Tisco sees increase in high networth clients

Tisco Asset Management Co Ltd expects a 20 per cent increase in high networth assets under management this year, thanks to inflation concerns as well as a variety of more complex financial instruments.

In the first eight months of this year, the number of high networth clients (whose investment ranges from Bt20 million to Bt40 million) increased 16 per cent from end-2010, to 300 accounts while combined assets rose over 10 per cent to nearly Bt9 billion.

Saharat Chudsuwan, senior vice president, Head of Marketing and Wealth Advisory  Mutual & Private Fund Business, attributed the growth to higher demand for professional advice on investment.

He said that Tisco has attracted sizeable investment due to the vast selection of investment choices for each client. These clients, unlike institutional investors which are more concerned on management fees, focus more on service quality and returns which must beat inflation, he added.

Tisco, with combined value of private funds under management of over Bt40 billion, is now the second in the industry. Its clients cover government agencies, institutional investors, high networth clients, foundations, cooperatives, as well as listed and non-listed companies.
