Donations to flood victims

Siam Commercial Bank is ready to relax loan conditions for individual and corporate clients, who are affected by the floods.

 Individuals, borrowing mortgage or SME loans, are eligible for debt moratorium upto 6 months or apply for a special loan for home fixing. Car loan, credit card and personal loan clients can suspend principal and interest payments for upto 3 months. Such relaxation is subjected to the bank's views.

 SME clients are entitled to principal payment suspension for upto 12 months. The interest rate could be lowered by 1 percentage point for six months. They could apply for upto Bt10 million working capital or no more than 20 per cent of total overdraft limit.

Government-led donations

On September 14, the Thai government mobilised funds to help flood victims whereby a number of organisations presented their donations.The event was broadcast live by ModerNine TV and NTB (channels 9 and 11).

Among the donors are Bangkok Bank (Bt5 million) and Thai Airways International (Bt1 million).

PTT Group recently released the caravan to help flood victims. Aside from necessary items worth Bt7 million to be distributed by the caravan, the group also reserves another Bt23 million in financial assistance.  

Bank of Ayudhya also provided 855-survival kits and floating toilets to help alleviating people impacted by severe floods in Bang Ban and Sena districts in Ayutthaya.

In cooperation with CIMB Foundation, CIMB Thai Bank's executives and staff also launched a caravan to Ayutthaya, Chai Nat and Angthong, to distribute relief items and drinking water to flood victims.

Kasikornbank  welcomes all donation for flood victims to Princess Pa Foundation's account No. 082-2-66600-0, Lang Suan Branch. Inter-region transaction fee is waived.

Siam Commercial Bank

Siam Commercial Bank is welcoming donation for flood victims to "Siam Commercial Bank Foundation for flood victims" account, Ratchayothin branch, No. 111-3-90911-5.

Inter-region transactions are waived from fee. Donation can be deposited at over 1,000 branches and over 8,000 ATMs, as well as SCB Easy Net.
