Bangkok Bank joins another Japan partner

Bangkok Bank has enlisted Yamanashi Chuo Bank as its 18th Japanese partner bank.

Yamanashi Chuo is the largest regional bank in Yamanashi prefecture.

Its policy is to be a strong local bank with sustainable management practices.

It is people-oriented with excellent customer relations and is dedicated to supporting local economic prosperity and development.

Its management style includes maintaining a good financial standing to inspire the trust of customers.

The tie-up will facilitate the increasing number of Yamanashi businesses wishing to locate in Thailand. Japanese companies are looking to invest outside their homeland because of reduced domestic demand and a desire to minimise risks by expanding their production base abroad.

Executives from Yamanashi Chuo Bank visited Thailand in July and met with Deja Tulananda, vice executive chairman of Bangkok Bank.

They invited Hitoshi Ozawa, executive vice president of Bangkok Bank, to be the guest speaker at a seminar on investment opportunities in Thailand in Kofu, the capital of Yamanashi prefecture, on August 3.

Ozawa lectured on the important points to consider in expanding in Thailand and how to use local financial institutions here.

He also introduced the products and services of his bank.

The two banks will share economic information and build up a framework of advice and support for tapping into the Thai market, and will offer financial support to Yamanashi Chuo customers here.

Through this opportunity, Yamanashi Chuo Bank and Bangkok Bank will strengthen their business relationship.

The two banks say they plan to concentrate on assisting companies from Japan by providing high-quality financial services.
