BBL wants to loan ThaiBev

Bangkok Bank is ready to extend the financial support to ThaiBeverage Plc's acquisition of Serm Suk Plc (SSC), if asked by the beverage company.

BBL Vice Chairman Decha Tulanan said today that should ThaiBev need a loan, several banks should be asked for help and BBL is ready to be part of the syndication.

For the entire 100 per cent stake, ThaiBev will to spend Bt15.42 billion.

"We have no problem to provide a loan because ThaiBev has a potential cash flow and is one of our quality clients. Yet, we haven't yet been approached," Decha said.

Thai Beverage Logistics, a subsidiary of ThaiBev, however specified in the tender offer filing that Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, Bangkok Branch, would provide the credit facility for the deal.
