SCB names seven executive VPs Siam Commercial Bank (SCB) has appointed seven executive vice presidents to take charge of wholesale banking, credit risk management, and human-resource management functions.
With immediate effect, the new executive vice presidents are Wasin Saiyawan as head of the financial markets division; Arak Sutivong as head of the business strategy and development division; Pimolpa Suntichok as head of the capital markets division; Sirote Vichayabhai as head of corporate banking division 2; Vorada Thangsurbkul as head of investment banking coverage 2; Kiradit Arromdee as head of credit risk management; and Worawat Suvagondha as head of human resources strategy and policy. - The Nation
Speculators sell
Concerns over the US and European debt problems prompted some net selling by foreign investors on the Thai bond market, but they were mostly short-term speculators on government bonds and the baht, according to the Thai Bond Market Association.

Deal for new city
Phnom Penh Municipality and the Overseas Cambodia Investment Corporation (OCIC) yesterday reached a US$1.6-billion (Bt48-billion) investment deal.
The agreement was signed by Phnom Penh Governor Kep Chuktema and Oknha Pong Khieu Se, chairman of OCIC.
The city governor said Cambodia would gain a new city in 15 years' time, a satellite-city project for 40,000 people. - Rasmei Kampuchea/ANN
