Volatility remains in the Thai financial market, pending for further actions from European leaders to handle debt woes.
The Stock Exchange of Thailand, after a 15 points loss yesterday, is in the negative territory today with the composite indSET Index ended the day 5.39 points lower to 926.21 points on turnover of Bt26 billion.
Several other Asian markets also ended lower as investors waited for Germany's parliamentary vote on the bailout plan.ex 0.70 points lower from the previous closing to 930.90 points at noon.
As of 10.51am, the Gold Traders Association adjusted local gold price for the fifth time. Adjustments started with a Bt600 cut and then four increases for combined amount of Bt250 per baht weight. Gold bar was sold at Bt24,050 while gold ornament at Bt24,450, as gold spot rose to US$1,620 per ounce.
