After paying a visit to the prime minister today, Paiboon said that Yingluck realised that Thailand needs measures to protect itself against spillover effects and promised to uphold the fiscal disciplines like in the previous government. She also assured that the government will invest in projects to boost domestic consumption, which include infrastructure projects. She said the government would not solely focus on populist policies.
On the question of political stability, she said that she would continue with the reconciliation process.
The visit was accompanied by about 40 Thai and foreign investors. They exchanged opinions on the global situation.
