GS Bank launches mobile service

Government Savings Bank, which closes 18 branches in 4 provinces, is offering mobile banking services for flood victims in Ayutthaya, Pathum Thani, Nakhon Sawan and Chai Nat. Call 1115.
"These victims are living in terrible condition," GS Bank President Lersak Julates said. The bank has offered 6-month moratorium on principal and interest payment as well as new loans for house and business repairs.
So far, the bank's help, including 52,000 relief bags, has been evaluated at Bt35 million.
According to the Bank of Thailand, as of today, a total of 113 bank branches are temporarily shut down.
