16 more items in price-control list

The Cabinet on Tuesday approved the Commerce Ministry's proposal to extend the list of goods under price control to cover 16 more items.
The list will then cover 57 items.
The newly-enlisted items include drinking water, paper napkin, flashlights, battery, toothpaste and toothbrush, sand, plastic sandbags, brick, life vests, fibre boat, rubber boot, sleeping bag, water tank, water pump, drug for foot diseases and candle.
They are under price control now, following signs of overpricing and hoarding given high demand during the flooding period.
