The state telecommunications enterprise has been waiting for its new board for more than two months since the change of government.
The Finance Ministry announced the appointments of the new boards of TOT and CAT Telecom effective on November 1.
TOT’s board had already met to nominate Panthep Chamrasromran as chairman, but CAT’s board has yet to do so.
TOT’s board at its meeting is expected to give top priority to the restoration plan for the agency’s network in flooded areas and to speed up the establishment of its national third-generation wireless broadband network.
It will also look into TOT’s plan to lease 3G capacity to retailers of the service.
CAT is waiting for its new board to endorse its plan to spend Bt12.5 billion next year on telecom facilities to support its wholesaling of 3G bandwidth capacity.
