New loading centre at BKK port

Port Authority of Thailand opens a 10-rai space on the west of its Bangkok Port as a temporary loading centre for members of Thai Transportation and Logistics Association (TTLA), to help boost distribution of goods and ease consumer goods shortages.

The loading centre, opened on Nov 9, will be in service until the water recedes, said Chalermchai Meekun-iam, director-general of the agency.
TTLA members' loading centres along the Borom Rajajonani Road were flooded and this disrupts the distribution of goods to other parts of the country.
