Permanent Secretary Suphoth Sublom said the proposal would be submitted for Cabinet review on Nov 29.
Of total, Bt1.5 billion would finance the Marine Department's canal dredging, Bt2.6 billion to State Railway of Thailand's railroad and signalling system repair, and Bt67.7 million to the Aeronautical Radio of Thailand.
Suphoth said that the Land Transport Department is now finalising damage, while Airport of Thailand is also evaluating the cost to recover passenger terminals and the west runway.
He added that the floods damaged 8,540 roads under the jurisdiction of the Local Administration Department and 175 bridges in 40 provinces. The damage is estimated at Bt6.25 billion.
The Highways Department was earlier approved a Bt11.9 billion budget for road fixing. As the budget cannot be disbursed now and the bid opening will take time, the ministry plans to seek approval for an emergency budget of Bt1.8 billion.
