BBL assists donations from Japan

Bangkok Bank branches in Tokyo and Osaka have facilitated the transfers of 120 million yen (Bt45 million) from Japan to Thailand. Transfer fees for 1,500 yen per transaction are waived as of Nov 17.
Of total, Bt29 million (79 million yen) from Japanese people and government organisations, Bt15 million (41 million yen) from Thais living in Japan, the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo and the Royal Thai Consulate General in Osaka, and the remainder from non-Japanese residents in Japan.
BBL Executive Vice President Chaiyarit Anuchitworawong said that the overseas branches also provided donation boxes to raise donations for flood victims.
