Insurer turns to rehabilitation

After a series of donations of necessary flood-relief items and money, Ayudhya Allianz CP Life recently held a "Big Cleaning Day".

More than 100 employee volunteers and sales representatives took part in helping to restore and clean the areas and surroundings of Bua Luang temple and Bua Luang temple school in Pathum Thani.
In addition, volunteers will join forces in cooking food and giving them to the flood victims through “Ayudhya Allianz CP Mobile Kitchen”.
Patchara Taveechaiwattana, chief officer of market management and corporate affairs, said the company has implemented projects to assist all affected parties from the very beginning, by donating money and necessary relief items to related organisations for helping the flood victims. As the water level has started to decrease in some areas, the company is continuing to provide assistance to local communities for rehabilitation.
Its pilot project is the “Big Cleaning Day” mobilising more than 100 volunteers from among its employees and sales representatives, together with senior executives to help in restoring and cleaning the Bua Luang temple and the Bua Luang temple school in Pathum Thani province. They will also cook food through “Ayudhya Allianz CP Mobile Kitchen” to distribute to flood victims in the area as well.
“The flooding crisis we’re facing today is the most serious natural disaster that has ever happened in Thai history. The damage has been widespread, from agriculture to industry, commerce, financial institutions and households. Bangkok, the economic centre of Thailand, has also been hit hard as many areas are still submerged. This flood was initially assessed with damage totalling more than Bt1 trillion,” Patchara said.
