CIMB Thai mulls strategy to expand branches

CIMB Thai Bank is looking at broadening its network of branches, either through organic growth or through acquisitions, as having a small number of branches makes it difficult to compete.
Subhak Siwaraksa, president and chief executive officer of CIMB Thai, said the
bank had only 150 branches, while major banks have more than 800. Expanding its
branches would help it grow.
