Three companies were listed in the main bourse this year, against 7 in MAI, said SET Group Head Issuer & Listing Chanitr Charnchainarong.
As of Dec 21, the average offer to date return is 41.54 per cent. Among the three in SET, Khonburi Sugar is the stock which offers the best return, 20.88 per cent. Union Intraco produced 118.75 per cent in return, the highest among 7 companies listed on MAI.
"Boosting the return is the fact that all are in rising industries. Six companies' 9-month financial results showed an increase of over 100 per cent from the same period last year. Four also announced interim dividends, which showed their financial strength and liquidity. The continued increases in the SET Index in the fourth quarter also boost the sentiment and reflect investor confidence even after the severe flooding," he said.
During 2008-2010, the offer to date return of all newly-listed stocks in each year were 40.78 per cent, 116.91 per cent and 85.36 per cent, respectively. This is against the 21.64 per cent, 131.97 per cent and 42.10 per cent increases in the SET index.
The 10 newly-listed stocks' combined market capitalisation rose 9.72 per cent from Bt18.46 billion to Bt29.3 billion.
