General Electric Thailand has appointed Kovit Kantapasara as president and chief executive officer to continue to spearhead GE’s market leadership, grow market share and increase confidence among business partners under the “One GE” strategy.Prior to his appointment, he held the position of country executive for Thailand and the Indochina region for GE Energy for seven years.Kovit replaces Pornlert Lattanan, who will take on the role as managing director, Government Commercial Development, for Cambodia, Laos, Burma and Thailand.

Bar B Q Plaza is investing more than Bt450 million in a business expansion and marketing campaign this year.As part of the move, the company plans to open 10 more locations in Thailand, including branches in Hat Yai, Suphan Buri, Surat Thani and Udon Thani, through cooperation with leading shopping centres.

CBRE, a leading international property consultant, has been appointed to sell two internationally branded hotel properties in two beach destinations: the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Patong Beach, Phuket, and the Courtyard by Marriott Hua Hin in the Gulf resort of Cha-am.
