New civil servant pay to be effective this month

Civil servants who hold bachelor degrees would get a pay rise by the end of this month, while those holding master or doctoral degrees has to wait for the Cabinet's decision next week, said Deputy Finance Minister Viroon Tejapaibul.
“I assure you all that those with bachelor degrees would get at least Bt15,000 per month by the end of this month,”Viroon said.
While those with higher decrees are also expected to get a raise this month as the Civil Service Commission would submit the new pay structure to the Cabinet next week, he said.
Under the new structure, mater degree holders will be paid upto Bt17,500 (salary and allowance), from current salary base of Bt12,600. While those who hold doctoral degrees would get total pay of Bt21,000 up from a salary of Bt17,010 per month.
