Sansiri Plc will launch a three-day roadshow in Hong Kong and Singapore in a bid to drum up fresh investment.
Assisted by CIMB Securities (Thailand), the roadshows will update potential foreign investors about what’s going on with the firm.
Sansiri president Srettha Thavisin was convinced that the shows would be a success, pointing to recent increases in the firm’s share price.
The ratio of foreign shareholders – who now account for 24 per cent of total shares issued – is still far from the 39-per-cent ceiling, he said.
This year, through the launch of 44 projects worth Bt46 billion, Sansiri aims to boost revenue to Bt28 billion, up 40 per cent from last year.
It completed a domestic roadshow last month for 20 institutional funds.
Ital-Thai to build flood wall at Rojana Industrial Park
Italian-Thai Development has signed a Bt2.17-billion contract to construct a flood-prevention system for Rojana Industrial Park in Ayutthaya.
In a filing to the Stock Exchange of Thailand, it said the contract involves a wall, a main entrance and a bridge. The work is scheduled for completion in seven months.
Rojana is one of seven industrial estates in Ayutthaya and Pathum Thani that were severely hit by the floods last year.
All 198 plants in the industrial estate suspended operations, including that of Honda Automobile (Thailand) Co Ltd, due to flood waters more than 5 metres high.
Executives of the company earlier said the wall’s height would exceed six metres.
Mahagitsiris eye control of TTA via board shake-up
The Mahagitsiri family hopes to take over management control of Thoresen Thai Agencies Plc (TTA) through the appointment of five new directors.
The family now holds a majority stake in the company.
“We want to participate in the company via directors, rather than the management team, as we aim to draw up a new business direction as well as learn more about the business culture," Chalermchai Mahagitsiri, one of the proposed new directors, said yesterday.
He added that the family wants to bring in more professionals, including experts in the oil, mining and shipping businesses, to boost the company’s operating results.
TTA needs fresh capital to serve future investments in the oil business.
