BOT to hold Financial Wisdom Fair this month

The Bank of Thailand will hold a "Financial Wisdom Fair" to disseminate financial knowledge to the general public from March 16-18.

The fair follows the establishment in mid-January of the central bank’s Financial Consumer Protection Centre, which manages complaints about services provided by financial institutions under BOT supervision and provides knowledge to consumers of such services.

Taking place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, the Financial Wisdom Fair will be presented in two zones: the exhibition zone and the seminar zone.

In the exhibition zone, six commercial banks and other institutions will offer financial knowledge and demonstrate financial activities. Examples are new aspects about money, proper financial planning according to lifestyle, financial health check-ups, maximising returns through savings and investment, and financial consulting services.

The seminar zone will present pressing issues, including keys to success for small and medium-sized enterprises, risk management in the cyber-world, and fast financial management for SMEs.

Online registration for the Financial Wisdom Fair can be done at www.bot.or.th or more details can be requested at 02-356-7548 and 02-356-7507.
