“The FTA between Thailand and Japan as well as the AEC, which will be fully effective in 2015, will allow our brand principals – Regal footwear based in Japan for example – to get more import quotas from Southeast Asia, especially Thailand,” Khanisorn Suyanand, vice president and chief executive officer of the shoes division, said yesterday.
“With the AEC, we will be able to bring more lines of footwear products into Thailand to cater to the growing scale of retail outlets and growing number of shoppers, which will go beyond local Thais,” he said.
ICC last year invested Bt40 million to expand its plant at Sahapat Industrial Park in Chon Buri’s Sri Racha district by 25 per cent to about 50,000 pairs per month to supply its key brands Regal and Naturalizer.
The sales target will be supported by Saha Group’s growth strategy and all the significant support provided to its subsidiaries, as well as good back-up from principals like Regal and Naturalizer.
Regal, a leading brand of men’s shoes, yesterday launched a 360-degree marketing campaign.
