The customers market the green tyres domestically and to countries outside the region, particularly in the European Union, which will implement a standardised label to categorise tyres according to fuel consumption, wet grip and rolling noise.
Thailand has many tyre makers that are now exporting to the euro zone.
Japan and South Korea have been producing green tyres voluntarily since last year. Korea will adopt a regulation to use environmentally friendly tyres this year.
