Five of the new iStudio by Copperwired shops will be in Bangkok.
The company also plans to invest another Bt15 million as a marketing budget to promote brand awareness of the iStudio by Copperwired network.
President and chief executive officer Paramate Rienjaroensuk said expansion of the currently 10-strong iStudio by Copperwired network was necessary because demand for Apple products was continuing to grow strongly.
“Our strategy is to focus on consumer segments. We do not have a corporate sales team and approach. This is our differentiation. Apple users have the most loyalty and they like to buy more Apple products for themselves and their family,” he said.
With demand for Apple products still increasing in the provinces, the company will open iStudio by Copperwired outlets in Udon Thani and Phuket this year.
“At iStudio by Copperwired, we offer 3,000 SKUs [stock-keeping units], of which more than half are Apple products. The best-selling products are the iPhone and iPad,” said Paramate.
“For our own brand of gadget outlet, we will increase the number of .Life shops selling IT lifestyle products this year to 10, from the current eight stores,” he added.
Some 5,000 accessory and gadget SKUs are offered at the stores.
This year, the company aims to generate about Bt5 billion in revenue, more than Bt4 billion of which will come from iStudio by Copperwired sales, and the remainder from .Life outlets. Revenue of more than Bt3 billion was achieved last year.
The company also plans to add another service centre under its iServe brand this year.
