The Cabinet yesterday approved a Bt3.39-billion project to construct another bridge over the Chao Phraya River. Located on Nonthaburi 1 Road, the project will be under the Department of Rural Roads.
The Cabinet also approved setting up Rubber of Thailand to replace the Office of the Rubber Replanting Aid Fund, which was dissolved.
It will be an independent organisation to manage Thai rubber from upstream to downstream. The country’s rubber industry has waited for more than 10 year to see such an organisation set up.
