Four banks have suspended services of their 44 branches and 21 foreign exchange booths in the South, particularly in Phuket.
According to Bank of Thailand, most of the affected branches are in Phuket. Others are in Krabi.
The information was as of 4pm. The central bank did not elaborate further on the reopening.
