CS Loxinfo wires up Ban Pamiang

Technology can support quality of life but access remains limited to Bangkok and major cities.

Realising that technology can help villagers and promote education in rural areas, CS Loxinfo has included the installation of Wi-Fi into its CSR programme. In its sixth year, Ban Pamiang in Muang Pan district, Lampang province, is the lucky village. Helping complete this installation project were software-engineering students from Rajabhat University Lampang, who also helped educate the villagers in how to make use of the technology.

Wongkulpat Senivongs Na Ayutthaya, chairman of the company, said the six Wi-Fi spots could support the village’s plan to offer homestay services and expand the world of knowledge to students.

"Educational opportunities will be extended to the underprivileged so that the rural areas get new quality workers," he said.
